If the Ames-Webster home won't work for you, might I suggest the Church of Scientology's Back Bay headquarters, which was listed for sale today at $12.5 million?
I used to work there in the 80s, for CBT. I had my very own key! I'm having a hard time believing in the 50 bedrooms. There's a lot of wide-open space in there, soaring ceilings. Maybe they are including a warren of basement or attic rooms. But my office was in a lady's boudoir, and there weren't all that many other rooms on the second floor.

Landsvest did just post a $12.5 million, 188 acre equestrian spread in Topsfield along the Ipswuch River, though.
