His first train ride

Robert Burgess reports on an impromptu adventure with son Will this morning: A train ride from South Acton to Lincoln and back again:
There are plenty of chores and errands to run, but we want our little sponge to just soak up the experiences of life. Sure, we're sacrificing my full-time salary to help keep the house running, but that needs to be balanced with Will's needs. The train ride was a great rainy Monday success, so I think we'll try it again sometime and maybe go farther. Maybe, as Will would say, we'll go to infinity and beyond.

Do you mean
South Acton?
Indeed I do
I've undotted the i and booted it altogether.
dunno if adam meant it intentionally or not...
... but fwiw, the conductors do often call out "SOOOOOOOOUTH ACTION!" when you get to the station.
Adorable
I love reading stories like this... makes me think of this blog post from a Dad in Detroit who dressed up his son as Robocop for Halloween and took him on an adventure through the city.
It's always fun spotting kids on the commuter rail who gaze in wonder at what's passing by out the window.
Every ride an adventure!
My boys used to beg me to joy ride the commuter rail into and out of North Station when they were little. I'd pick them up in pre-school and pull up to West Medford a few minutes ahead of the train.
The ride was the entire point of the exercise.
One of the Lowell Line conductors still asks after them more than 10 years later!
