The Globe reports a new city program that will link police and city social-services agencies in a program focusing on "the most dangerous gang members, their families, and the neighborhoods in which they live."
Ed. note: The story says this is partly due to the reaction to the "shocking" murders of two 14-year-olds; nobody seems to remember the third 14-year-old shot to death in Boston this year.

Too much crime on Beacon Hill

Sorry, I can't get excited over murders in other neighborhoods when we have a crime spree on Beacon Hill. I mean, focusing on shoplifting in our tony neighborhoods should be our one and only immediate concern, people!

There was a stabbing and a couple of A&Bs involved as well; it's not just some punks stealing gum.
The thing that got me about that story was the reluctance of Charles Street storeowners to call 911. Is there some police/boutique feud we don't know about?
Good question, Adam

Too bad it didn't occur to the Globe reporter.
Clunk.
