Suspect arrested for Dorchester murder last week

Boston Police report arresting Omay Tavares, 20, of Dorchester on charges he gunned down George Thompson at 87 Rosseter St. on Jan. 7.
Tavares was arrested last night; is scheduled for arraignment Tuesday in Dorchester District Court.

The victim of this crime was my family & this is crazy that the suspect was so young. Its a shame that he did this stupid act

Omay is the devil! Like the saying goes today for him tomorrow for them. Unfortunately it was today for Bam. I hope everybody who is saying what a good person Omay is misses him when he goes away for the rest of his pathetic life, misses him every second,minute and hour of the day as we do Bam. Because of him, Bam's two sons will never see his face again or hear his voice ever again! A baby to be will never know the heart of gold his father had and feel his gentle touch! Omay would never be able to murder someone, never take a life. Grant it he has been in trouble...but that doesn't mean he is a murder!! Half the world gets swallowed up by the streets...does that mean everyone is a murder..NO!!! Omay was in school & working trying to stay off the streets and better his life....dont take another innocent life!!

Who Are you to play God and Judge and make such a big determination as to wether one shall live or go home to the father? God made thy to live in harmony,do his will and live in peace. Yeah we sin and commit terrible crimes but we repent and the father forgives us.Who to say that Omay didn't repent of his sins or didn't. Jeffery was a very sweet person that has his ups and downs wasn't perfect but has changed his life for the better. He loved his children and because of a cruel, devilish act his kids will grow up fatherless,they wake up with nightmares,there in such rage,My heart goes out to all of his boys and family my prayers are with you and may justice be served.
