MBTA Transit Police say this is the guy who repeatedly stabbed somebody on a 23 bus at Ruggles and Tremont streets yesterday evening, then fled toward the Whittier Street project. He's described as 25 to 30, 5'7" and weighing between 185 and 220 lbs, with dreadlocks.
UPDATE: MBTA Transit Police tweet they've caught the guy.

It's OK to say he's black, in the same physical description in which his age, weight, and hairstyle are mentioned.
Unless, when we're talking about violent crime, the "black" is implied, which would be the *truly* offensive idea.
Oh, you Herald readers are so touchy

I have no problem identifying somebody's race in a crime post, but didn't do so here because it seemed kind of obvious from the photos, whereas the other info didn't seem quite as clear.

(Laughing at the "color-blind" usage.) That's one of my favorite lines.

Is it just me or does he remind you of Manny Ramirez? But I imagine he has a Chicago-based alibi.

Maybe that that's why his uniform is all baggy.

I like how he's looking around in these pics. Is he trying to decide on a victim? And in the left hand picture is that the weapon ion his hand?
Weapon?

Click on either of those photos and you'll get the MBTA wanted poster, with three photos and less cropping. In those you can see that it's not a weapon unless he stabbed the victim with his iPhone - you can also see it in the first photo as he was boarding the bus.
Also note that the second photo was shot from the rear of the bus as he was moving back (passengers at front end of bus visible behind him), and the third photo was shot from the front of the bus as he moved forward (passengers at back of bus visible behind him.) So in fact he was looking in the same direction in both shots.

....but the "wanted" announcement said he was 25-30 years old?
I guess there's something to all these stories you hear about the unreliability of eyewitnesses....

Any word yet on the reasons for stabbyness?
