Alan MacKinnon at the Gardens at Gethsemane cemetery reports he flies out of Logan at 6 a.m. on Sunday:
Got together with the Organization of Former Members of Mahanaim, met them at Temple Salem Seventh Day Advent Church. They have a place for me to stay in Haiti and will provide volunteers to help with my efforts to document the burial process and locations of their friends and loved ones.

Alan is a very good guy for doing this... much respect
I met Alan before when I was visiting his cemetary to take a walk in Brook Farm - you couldn't ask for a more friendly man.
I also read another article on Alan helping out the JP Tedeschi [sic?] store clerk who got shot... learning the funeral customs and culture of the deceased... I was impressed he went so far out of his comfort-zone to help this guy and his family give him a respectful burial.
I highly respect and applaud actions like these... it's very clear he is going WAY out of his way to make a difference...
this is inspiring me to do my part as well...
