Some Assembly Required reports that when he went into the Medford Square Dunkin' Donuts for some coffee on Saturday, he passed by a woman standing outside, seeming to give a coffee order on her cell phone. And when he got in line, he stood behind a woman repeating back the same order on her phone:
... So, Woman A was giving her drink order to Woman B over the phone, while standing outside on the sidewalk. I started to let myself think about why she might be doing this, instead of just coming inside, but I realized that way madness lied and let it go. ...

Sounds like a severe anxiety disorder. I've known two people (both females if it matters) that were terrified of ordering food from a stranger. In an emergency they could do it, but it would lead to a major panic attack.

Could it be that the cell phones will eventually become the usual mode for conversation? No more candlelight dinners; instead candle cell phone conversations. Instead of pillow talk it will be pillows with built in cell phones talk.
There will come a day when the priest and panoply of saints who mediate for us with God (at least for Catholics and Orthodox) will be replaced with the cell phone. First there was texting, then sexting, now we can have DeiXting! We can call God's universal direct number (111, though if you're a Satanist then obviously 666). With 4G we can even watch on our cell phones the Angel Bowl in January right after the Rose Bowl.
Following the logic of cellular divine intervention cell phones could even replace crystal balls, Tarot Cards, I-Ching and even Magic 8 Balls?
What hath man (and woman) wrought in that devilish contraption the CELL PHONE!
Perhaps God will direct his/her Intelligent Design so that future human beings will evolve to include built in cell phones?
