Doesn't this disqualify Maureen Feeney:
"Applicant must also have two years experience planning, organizing, or directing a public agency, including formulation, implementation and oversight of agency funding."

You need to read between the lines here: "directing a public agency". Don't be surprised if her terms as City Council Prez won't be counted towards fulfilling this requirement. I think the Boston City Council still qualifies as a "public agency" - even despite those pesky open meeting law hiccups of past.

They left out the part about being a relative or friend of someone already working for the city.

a minimum of ten years experience working within municipal or county government

In other words, they have found a way to use what truly minimal civil service laws exist to exclude anybody but their cronies.

They left out lots of parts, like, salary, what's the deadline for applying, and what is the process.

Why won't any of these newly-reelected power brokers on the city council demand some answers from their current leader, Mr. Murphy?? New Boston indeed!

At least Mike Ross has the courtesy to respond to one reporter's questions about the "process" in Coleman Herman's latest article for the Herald about how the city clerk gets over.

A new City Clerk with advanced knowledge of new technologies and software would make municipal government more open and information more accessible. For example:

The Diamante Stenograph machine on view
at
http://www.cityofboston.gov/citycouncil/cc_video_l...
records the full transcript of the public meeting of Boston City Council.

The machine stores a computer file of the full transcript of the public meeting but officials haven't made this public record readily available yet.
