And what of Hyde Park?
The video concentrates on Dorchester, but there could be some interesting ramifications for Hyde Park, like along Fairmount Avenue, which has a combination of interesting shops/restaurants and buildings marked with big red-and-white Xs to warn firefighters not to enter in a fire.

Isn't there already a stop at Fairmount? That's two in Hyde Park. There are two in Dorchester, for that fact. What they're really doing is changing it into a rapid transit line with frequent stops. I'm not sure of the efficiency of running standard rail stock on a rapid transit line.
With the right equipment, it'll be efficient...
The MBTA could order rolling stock that's DMU (diesel multiple unit), either similar to NJ's RiverLine that operates between Trenton and Camden, NJ, or borrow the rolling stock from the O-Train line in Ottawa.
I think it's a great idea - if the T remembers to charge the correct fare. Morton Street and Uphams Corner commuters pay $2.00 - whereas Fairmount riders fork over $4.25 and Readville ponies up $4.50.
