A Roxbury resident mainly files a complaint about an ice-cream truck parked in a crosswalk, but adds:
And if it isn't illegal to play that terribly annoying version of Do Your Ears Hang Low while parked, some laws ought to be changed.
Most annoying version of the song, ever (takes a moment or two to come up; better have your headphones on at work to avoid your co-workers attempting to stab you with a pencil).

Used to have one of those trucks in my neighborhood. I'd call 911 complaining of loud music (the BPD crime watch liaison told me to do this). After the cops showed up a few times the ice cream guy got the hint and shut off the music while parked.

Remember when ice cream trucks just had a simple bell?
NYC has a recent law saying the annoying Mr. Softee music can only play while the truck is moving.

The complainer went for the derivative version. I guess we can be thankful we didn't get the less family-friendly version.

Yeah, I also thought it some kind of version of "Turkey in the Straw", as re-imagined [bastardized?] by someone who barely remembers the tune. There's another one that comes by me and plays a song that I don't recognize but slowly mutates into "She'll Be Coming Round the Mountain When She Comes", ending with a little girl's voice, saying "Hello!!!".
Very distressing...

Lol, this one drives near our campus at Wentworth (through Mission Main, down Parker St, around Annunciation Road to serve Alice Taylor, etc) all the time. After the song "ends" there's this kid that says "HELLO?!" and then it repeats alllll over again.
This truck?

The ice cream truck hasn't annoyed me yet this year, but I'd say the biggest problems at my house in Roxbury are music coming from various vehicles, people not closing up their trash bags/cans properly, restaurants that will deliver food several miles away in the other direction to other hoods but not a mile to my hood. Maybe it's because our ice cream trucks are annoying?
Oh, and one of my floorboards squeaks. Hmph.
