Why?! Why does it have to be smelly?!

stinky is a good strategy for attracting certain types of pollinators and seed-dispersers such as carrion eaters.

i'm betting this is similar to the gingko fruit which smells like a frathouse basement bathroom (puke, beer, more puke). but that may be a different stink-strategy...

... a wet dog, with flatulence, sitting in a moldy crate of spoiled lettuce.

Nah, not really. I have no idea what the thing smells like. But that's about the worst-smelling thing I could think of, so I went with it. Anybody have a topper?

Heh... I was in there last night, and the greenhouse is in the mid-80's and so humid that the water condenses on your face as you walk in. So Morticia, at least, is happy with the weather today.

A friend of mine got there at 8am and there was a line already. I guess the weirdness really appeals to people!
