Westbury? Been to the Bury , Dudley style , never heard of that..
Westie High was the city dump , high school was on Poplar street
Fun fact , Brannelly's was a little bar , had an A & P beside it.
Kasanoff 's had a bakery on Blue Hill ave
The old Roche Bros was an Elm Farm , the new one was Pope Lumber
Dude , I knew the Charlie , been to the dump, of course the old HS was in a Roslindale Square so that everyone could go to Joslin's . Maybe they had candy at the Brigham's , across the street from the Ford dealer , that was beside Charlie's on the bend. Only Foley I know is Gerry , on Dover street.
It's right next to where the bowling alley used to be. Also, the only place to get breakfast in West Roxbury at like 6 a.m. (but bring cash - no credit cards).

"Westie"
Is that a thing? Can't say I've ever used the term
You're
Joking right?
I've never heard anyone say "Westie"
whereas Eastie and Southie are quite common.
That's the point of the headline!!
Southie = Space saving capital of the Commonwealth.
Westie = Trying to get in on the action.
Although I've seen some doozies in Rozzie...
That's the Joke
Never heard that referring to
Never heard that referring to the old West End of Boston either, always associated it with the lads from Hell's Kitchen .
Did you grow up in the city?
Im assuming not, because i hardly ever hear people actually call it "West Roxbury."
West On Centre
Westbury
Westie High (Though maybe 2 kids from Westie attend the school)
West on Centre = Charlie's
West on Centre = Charlie's

Wrong
West on Centre was not charlies, it was Foley's or some crap.
High School on Poplar was Rozie High
Westie High is next to the dump, built on a swamp.
Charlie's is the penny candy store, which is now owned by a different family.

You haven't lived until you've been to the Westbury

The Irish Social club around
The Irish Social club around the corner somewhat also used to be a bowling alley.
Yes it's a thing
Where are you from?
I'm more taken by the fact
I'm more taken by the fact that the carriage is staying on the car and hasn't managed to roll off.
The
Wheels lock once they pass a certain point. Its to prevent homeless and/or can collectors from walking off with the carriages.
