Don't be alarmed: That drone over Copley Square isn't packing armament

I don't care if it's armed or not, get it away from the city. We don't have a high crime rate here, and we don't need to be bothered by BPD air support more than we already are.

The tourists will get scared off if they see BPD blatantly deploying totalitarian surveillance, plus it's unconscionable.

See the problem is, your tinfoil hat is good protection against the mind control rays, but when that drone's engine fails and it falls on you, tinfoil offers no protection. I recommend one of these:

I can't tell if your post is in jest or not, but just to be sure: this is not a BPD drone.

easy panicky pete. This is not a BPD drone. FAA got a request for a drone flight approved it and notified BPD as they are local law enforcement so when other panicky pete's flood the switchboard they already are aware.

A TV station, perhaps?

As others have stated, its not even a police drone. But what "BPD air support" are you bothered by already? The department does not have any aviation assets...

but it seems that everyone else has dispensed with that.

In any case, it seems like this was a very good example of how intergovernmental/interagency communication is supposed to go. Yay for that!
