French Toast Alert System is operational

Saturday update: Up to Blue.

Not yet ready to urge you to make a milk, eggs and bread run, especially given the temperatures we're seeing this weekend, but the National Weather Service is calling for its first "winter weather event" of the season on Tuesday and that did make us unlock the bunker and make sure everything's in working order. The NWS says any snow/sleet/falling sheets of ice could change to rain on the coastal plain (that's us, in the main), but we've got a wary eye open.

Life goes back to normal!

I have complete faith that the MBTA will deliver quality service to all customers this winter.

Do you have your vest to wear in the Bunker?

Or a cardigan. But in the meantime, a French Toast Alert T-shirt and a sweatshirt will have to do.

I am holding out home that the Arboretum's rhododendron buds will blossom before a freeze. But if not, at least (some of) the cherry blossoms and dandelions got to make an appearance.

Mother Nature expected to drop Old Man Winter on region. No word if he'll be packing a roundhouse punch.

dropping old man bullshit on the region for 150 years. Now get off my lawn!!
