Man wearing GPS monitor after burglary arrest charged with new burglaries in Roslindale

Ernest Haley, 29, won't have to risk getting arrested a third time for burglary: At his arraignment today for three Roslindale break-in attempts - two allegedly successful - his bail was revoked for his earlier charge, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

The new arrests - which include Line driver for allegedly swiping nine pairs of panties - also got him in trouble for violating his probation in a 2014 case in which he received an 18-month suspended sentence for malicious destruction of property, threats, and two counts of assault and battery, the DA's office says.

Among the evidence against him: Readings from his GPS monitor, which placed him in the area of Metropolitan Avenue near Washington Street, where residents reported somebody had tried to break into their home around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, the DA's office reports.

According to the DA's office, Boston Police responding to the break-in spotted a guy walking on Washington who matched the victim's description.

As officers turned their cruiser around to speak with the man, he took off running through a Washington Street yard.

As he fled from officers, the man later identified as Haley discarded a backpack in a Washington Street yard. He was later found in a Wellsmere Road yard and taken into custody. A GPS monitor that he had been ordered to wear as a condition of his bail in the earlier burglary case placed him in the area of the Metropolitan Avenue break-in at the time it occurred, prosecutors said.

Officers spoke with the victims and learned that the man and woman had returned home to find a man in their upstairs hallway. The suspect allegedly forced open a window to enter the home and fled through a backdoor after encountering the victims.

As they were leaving the scene, officers were approached by a woman who reported that her Washington Street apartment had been broken into. She reported a camera, two pairs of designer sunglasses, and a jar of change stolen. Each of those items was found inside the backpack Haley discarded as he fled, along with nine pairs of underwear belonging to the victim.

Innocent, etc.

Above the first quote box, I believe you mean either "matching the suspect's description" or "matching the description provided by the victims".
