A correspondent submits a copy of e-mail about security-related road closures in Cambridge starting this morning: Main Street will be shut from Portland to Vassar, as will Albany Street. Pedestrians are also verboten on Main and Albany. The roads are scheduled to re-open at 3 p.m.

Project Shutdown...
Longfellow work operations have to be suspended from 11 - 3 as well...
The President. I saw that on
The President. I saw that on the news last night, and ugh...why did I not remember before I left for work???!
Main St.
It isn't exactly a main street. Good pick to close it.
Is Obama visiting the MIT Museum?
He's eating at Area 4

I have a feeling this is
I have a feeling this is related to the MIT reactor at Mass Ave and Albany. Every few months they do something there that requires a heavy police presence (not sure what exactly - removing or replacing fuel?)
Nope. Main Street, not Mass
Nope. Main Street, not Mass Ave.
Maybe it's....
...O'Reilly back again (he was wandering around the tailgate area at the Harvard Yale Game in the Fall) & we all know how he likes to think he's in a war zone
He should have a charity
He should have a charity boxing match against Brian Williams.
That would be entertaining.
A4 "closed" today
Area Four, typically open on Mondays for lunch warns guests on twitter: "Reminder: Cafe is closed today. And no lunch service. Fear not, we're open for dinner!" So that seems promising for VIP-watchers.
ahem
*Cough*
Bhahah
What you thought Adam was unbiased?
Here, have a cough lozenge
Ahem yourself, kind sir.
:)

Reagan and Clinton went to the Eire Pub, Obama to Area 4?
Reagan, later to be copied by Clinton went to the Eire Pub in Dorchester. Obama goes to Area 4 in Cambridge. Pretty much says it all.
Ah, how cute
You remember how Ronnie went to the Eire and lifted a pint for the cameras and then put it down because he didn't drink, but it wouldn't look manly on TV for him to sip a club soda.

Not sure what it says...
...other than maybe the guy likes Pizza? Or are you insinuating that the President is a Kenyan/Muslim/Socialist because he goes to a restaurant in Cambridge?
Or that the President is a
Or that the President is a Cambridge/Harvard elitist, rumored to be eating at only the most exclusive of enclaves! $$, two whole Yelp dollar signs.
I guess people coming to Boston can only go to Irish pubs or it says something now? I'm rolling my eyes.
fwiw,
fwiw,
Area 4 is some of the best pizza I've had in town. The sausage and banana pepper is a perennial favorite.
The upper crust was a previous favorite, but they managed to piss off pretty much everyone with their labour practices. I'm told that the owners of Area 4 are considerably better in this regard.
What does it say, I don't
What does it say, I don't understand. That Reagan liked immigrants (all those irish immigrants that hang at the Eire) while Obama likes good old american pizza?
Okay, Fishy
If O'Bama went for a pint at the Eire, would we ever hear the end of the "how DARE
that darkyhe set foot on our sacred stomping grounds"?Really?
Which wards did Obama lose in? Which ones were even a contest?
