Trapped in a frozen wasteland, ferry passengers await rescue

Nick Puleo is livetweeting his commute this morning on a ferry from Hingham. After leaving paint on the ice, the ferry got stuck and now a tug from New Jersey is trying to pull the boat out.

He adds:

Heard on the ferry: "I'd rather die on this boat than sit on the GD commuter rail"

with ice in the harbor - brilliant management decision here. And people are surprised when the boat gets stuck.

Now that sucks. MBTA says the boat is being pulled back, will return to Hingham, and the rest of the ferries are canceled for today due to ice.

I feel sorry for those folks because the Greenbush Line is f*cked today (much like the rest of the commuter rail) so there's no real alternative.
