Surely there must be a mistake!

It was a mistake, and don't call me Shirley.
Where is Ortiz?
It's time for the sequel to: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Plunder_Dome
Send them all to prison.
I admittedly
did not know that a labor union VP is a BRA board member. But now that I do, I'm going to ask: How is this not a conflict of interest?!?!?!.
Then I'm going to remember that we're talking about the BRA, shake my head, sigh, and move along.
Boston is a World Class Joke
Look at the other jokers on the BRA. This Association should be made up of common city residents with no ties to architects, contractors or labor.
If you think Boston is unique
with this type of shit for a big 'world class' city, you should what goes on in NYC, Chicago, L.A., London, Paris, etc.
Not the only one
In fact, the executive secretary of the carpenters' union (and Zoning Board of Appeals board member) helped kill a West Roxbury condo project earlier this month because it used pre-fabricated components built by sneaker-wearing Mainers:

I'm generally in favor of unions, but the BRA and particularly the ZBA board determine what level of development is appropriate in different parts of the city. That's a different conversation than use or non-use of union labor.
Mainers?
That's rich. I wonder if they've seen all of the NH plates around construction sites.
This makes me more concerned about the city council.
What was said to them to make them vote for the Urban Renewal extension?

"Roll over and play dead if you know what's good for you"
This nugget of city
This nugget of city corruption goes back to the late Saint Mumbles. Boy Marty and his union thuggery is just a continuation of the typical Mumbles practice.
