Dunkin' Donuts finds another Boston location in which to cram a store

The Boston Licensing Board yesterday approved a new Dunkin' Donuts at 1621 Blue Hill Ave. in Mattapan Square, meaning purple-and-orange fans will no longer have to make the long trek up to Morton Street or American Legion Highway to get their morning Dunk's fix.

of anything going into Mattapan Square that isn't a bank branch, nail salon, barber shop, Metro PCS store, check-cashing place, or liquor store.
Actually it would be nice if there was a half decent liquor store there, but maybe an existing one could just STOP selling swill and Arbor Mist/ Mad Dog exclusively.
Next up: A REAL sit down restaurant!

I didn't realize Dunks needed to go to the BRA. I figured they just popped up spontaneously in empty spaces like Nail salons do.

The Boston Licensing Board. Every single food-serving establishment in the city has to get a food-serving, or "common victualler's," license.

As long as it's not a Starbucks.

I think we'll all admit that Dunkin Donuts are seemingly everywhere. There are two at Back Bay Station, and if you don't want to use either of those, there another around the corner. That said, I don't think there are any in Mattapan other than one on Morton Street. Don't the people of Mattapan deserve at least what Roslindale has.

Because you're seeing things that aren't there. No hate here. Just amazement that there are any square inches left in Boston in which to put a Dunkin' Donuts

But don't underestimate the possibility of Dunkin saturation. My mother grew up on Roseclair Street in Dorchester. Nothing fancy about the street, maybe a quarter mile long with some other streets branching but without a cross street, but there is a Dunkin Donuts at each end of the street.

It is kind of surprising that there are currently no Dunkins on Blue Hill Ave. That's a major street that has a lot of commuters going and going.
