In Cambridge, Central Square Florist had a pair of turkeys walk by this morning.
In West Roxbury, Terry Klein spotted a bunch of turkeys on Redlands Road:

oof...
that pun's a real turkey...
When daisies pied and violets
When daisies pied and violets blue
And lady-smocks all silver-white
And cuckoo-buds of yellow hue
Do paint the meadows with delight,
The turkey Tom, in every tree,
Mocks married men; for thus sings he,
Gooble-dee-yoo;
Gooble-dee-yoo, gooble-dee-yoo: Oh word of fear,
Unpleasing to a married ear!
When shepherds pipe on oaten straws,
And merry larks are plowmen’s clocks,
When turtles tread, and rooks, and daws,
And maidens bleach their summer smocks,
The turkey then, on every tree,
Mocks married men; for thus sings he,
Gooble-dee-yoo;
Gooble-dee-yoo, gooble-dee-yoo: Oh word of fear,
Unpleasing to a married ear!
Shout out to Central Sq
Shout out to Central Sq Florist, I use them all the time and they're great. Gobble gobble.
Central Square Florist
Central Square Florist used to be called Galgay the Florist. And nearby Ace Hardware was once Pill Hardware. A bit more colorful than the current generic sounding names.
Still Pill.
Still Pill.
The turkeys are notorious. I
The turkeys are notorious. I've seen them hanging out in front of the Oberon many times, crossing the road like it's their backyard.
Adorable!
Nice photos!
I saw about 20 last Thursday in Mount Auburn Cemetery. I for one welcome our avian overlords.
