It is a Polaris Slingshot. A friend has one...I have seen two around locally this summer a red one and a black one.

Pretty sure MOMs of Manchester (remember those weird commercials?) rents them by the day.

Stay away from those fried clams - they're bad for you! [That HAS to be why you went to Wollaston Beach.]

You got me pegged. But I have to admit, I just wasn't feeling the clams last night, so went with the chicken souvlaki.

Slingshots are classed as Motorcycles in MA which means the driver should be wearing a helmet. I don't think there is an exception in this state for 3-wheeled setups like this or the Elio etc. etc.

Just saw the same exact trikemobile parked near there on QSD late this morning. There was a helmet in the passenger seat of the unoccupied vehicle. Probably was just sitting here idling without it last night while having some fried clammies

At least partly. Bad spot to be idling or not wearing a helmet. Esp. with all the troopers patrolling the beach.

He was actually in the process of pulling out to drive away, so no traffic was blocked by his redness (before he left, he was quite patient with folks gathering round to take a photo).

Missed that he was in the road or pulling out of the spot.

Not your fault, I didn't mention it.

Saw that guy in Harvard Sq the other day & he was playing some kind of good tune. Gave him the horns.
