How about for a 5% fare hike we also get better cameras? The newest versions of the cheapest available now will do better than that.

Sure, because camera rez is easily the 1,548th most pressing issue facing the T. I think it's right after gum on bus floors, so you'd better get a 5% hike for that too.

It's not the cameras but the media recording equipment.

The cameras lead the way in the improvement of such equipment - if this is the gong you want to bang, focus on the recorders.

I'll be sure to be on the lookout for this man for the horrible crime he committed. "Contact detectives"......seriously?! Young teens are getting shot in Roxbury ad Dorchester.

Why is this even news worthy...

Why did the Transit Police wait ten days to release the suspect's photo to the public?

Bus drivers take a beating on a daily basis wait till the fares go up. Does the T offer vaccinations to drivers who have been spit on. Why are the transit police not riding buses to protect passengers and drivers.

They're not even staffed to man every station, much less provide a noticeable presence on all those buses.

They're too busy driving their police cars around on the roads. Only time I ever saw a "transit" cop doing something was pulling over someone for going the wrong way down a one way downtown.

And when you do, come back here and I'll give you the frequency for Transit Police. They might be spread a bit thin (they have to respond to incidents at subway and commuter-rail stations across eastern Mass.), but they do indeed work for their money.

I'm always on the lookout for douchebags in patriots hats, but now I have a number to call and report them!
