parents need to ask for help if their child/children are exhibiting disrespect, gang behavior, gang activity, etc.
Sadly many households have no strong positive fathers to nurture and help their sons.
Dysfunctional families need intervention while the kids are young.
And anti-police attitudes are in some homes too.
Lots of work and honest discussions not sugarcoating the problems are necessary if positive change is to happen.

It was an unfortunate case on both sides. The best things to do are promote better mental health services,provide a job/outlet for the disenfranchised youth,and more beat cops. Beat cops are a part of the community that are often underestimated in long term effect. This rally reeks of the whole "blame cops"mentality
