Unfortunately private ambulance companies pay you shit. When I was in EMT school in 2006 entry level pay was about $11/hr. So most of the EMTs work long shifts so that they can also have a regular job. They'll work part time for 12-24 hours and then have another job 40 hours a week.
What a horrible thing to
What a horrible thing to happen. My heart goes out to everyone involved.
