The troll that lives in Somerville

Peter Muise recounts a woman's tale of how she thought her Victorian house outside Davis Square was haunted, only not by a ghost, but by a troll - in 1983:

The roommate slept in the third floor bedroom and experienced many strange occurrences. She set up her bed about six inches away from the back wall, but every morning when she awoke she found that it had been moved flush against the wall. Her clothes and shoes would appear in strange places around the house, and lights would turn themselves on and off.

We have a troll who does that ... But she's not a troll - she's a cat.

Wow. Least scary haunting ever. I could deal with that.

Troll: "Haha! Your lights were left on! Your electric bill will be slightly higher! I'm in your head now!"
Me: "Shut up troll, I'm busy commenting on UHub when I should be working."

::troll slinks back to his corner. dejectedly moves some shoes around, but you can tell his heart just isn't in it anymore::
