Chicken and Rice and E. coli Guys

The Globe reports Boston health inspectors ordered the three Chicken & Rice Guys restaurants and five food trucks in Boston shut today because of E. coli that has sickened at least seven people at the chain's outlet on Harvard Avenue in Allston. The Medford restaurant, which is beyond the reach of Boston ISD, remains open.

It will depend on where they found the E. coli. While the Allston restaurant sources food/supplies for the other restaurants, by the sound of the article, if the bacteria is found to be due to improper handling there, it's more likely an issue for the truck which just holds finished food than the DTX location which cooks its own ingredients.

If it was the white sauce...we are all boned.
