Fields Corner Main Street reports several hundred people showed up for the One Boston Day cleanup along Dorchester Avenue today, including this happy crew in Fields Corner.
In our little section we had dozens of kids, including the entire Dorchester Eagles Pop Warner football team and their coaching staff. It was great seeing so many people show up with their families and with their kids. I thought the same thing as you when I saw people start to line up for registration this morning. These kids are all learning about civic pride and community which is what One Boston Day is all about.
I've seen pictures from Peabody Square up in the Ashmont area where the whole clean up was centered and there seemed to be lots and lots of children up there as well.

Kudos to the Boston Police
Other agencies in this state could learn a lot from the great work that the Community Service Officers do on a daily basis.
Congrats and thank you
Well done and thank you very much for taking care of our city and your neighborhood..
