Feuding gang rivals to get life for murder of Dawnn Jaffier

Wesson Colas and Keith Williams will both be sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole for the death of Dawnn Jaffier as she stood a block away from them, waiting for the start of the J'Ouvert parade on Blue Hill Avenue in 2014, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Keith Williams, 21, fired the shots that killed Jaffier, 26, and injured another woman standing three blocks away, but Weson Colas, 25, was also convicted because he drew his gun first, prompting Williams to open fire.

They will be formally sentenced on Jan. 8. Their sentences will automatically be sent to the Supreme Judicial Court for review.

is right about her generation and this city. She needlessly lost her life and lots of kids lost out on her positive impact on their lives. Glad they got life but it doesn't make things better like she did every day at the Hennigan.
