Man acquitted for role in fight that left another man dead in Dorchester

A Suffolk Superior Court jury this afternoon acquitted Brian McElhinney, 24, on a charge of manslaughter for the 2016 death of Brian Hingston of Quincy behind the Greenhill Bakery on Adams Street, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Prosecutors charged that Hingston tried to intercede in a fight into which McElhinney had jumped early on April 17 and that McElhinney hit him in the face, causing him to fall and suffer a fatal injury when his head hit the pavement.

I agree and liked your reply. If you weren't there or on the jury you don't know the whole story. Although, it is certainly tragic that a man died. (By they way, good on you for not mentioning that he/she didn't spell punched correctly. :-) )

The Irish Times has an extensive story on the case. There is a bias, as they cast the case as being Irish Americans versus Irish, but it's something.

is not doing to good this year with convictions especially on the high profile cases. I wonder what about the cases you hear nothing about?
