Man jumps on Red Line tracks, demands T workers let him die, but they refuse

Gin Dumcius witnessed T workers struggling to keep a guy from trying to kill himself at Park Street around 7:45 p.m. Ten workers eventually joined the successful effort to keep him off the tracks until he could be transported to the hospital.

I was getting worried and was wondering why MY WIFE is about an hour later than usual getting home. This may be the reason.

I was there, too. He was also saying "I trained my body for my country." and accusing the cops (or maybe all of us?) of only caring about money. It did take the T workers quite a while before they asked us to head upstairs. If the cops arrived it was well after the whole thing was underway (at least as far as I could tell from 30 feet down the platform).

I'm glad they stopped him. I can only imagine how much mental anguish he is in and I hope he's able to get help.
