Before it was a Shaw's.. it was a Star Market. And before that it opened as a Cerritani's Supermarket

The urban myth associated with this store, located across the street from Suffolk Downs, was that any nag not performing well at the track ended up being sold and then offered in the meat section of the supermarket.

Of course story not true, but offered some solace for losing punters.
