Manhunt on for man who stole car at Mem. Drive gas station, then crashed it
By adamg on Tue, 12/19/2017 - 10:04pm
Cambridge Police report that shortly after 8:15 p.m., a "tall masked man" stole a 2017 Audi from the Shell station on Memorial Drive.
Shortly thereafter, the stolen vehicle was involved in a crash with a parked car on Ballord Pl at Montague. No injuries reported.
The crash scene is about three blocks from the station, which is the same one where, after the 2013 Marathon bombing, a man who had been carjacked by the Tsarnaev brothers managed to escape when they pulled in for gas.

Marathon bombing fame
That's where the guy who was carjacked by the Tsarnaev brothers escaped.
Which one?
There are two Shell stations within about 800 feet of each other along that stretch of Memorial. The one at River St. is where the carjacked guy escaped to (from the Mobil across the street), there is also the Magazine Beach Shell with the enormous glowing sign
