Police seek car, driver for Cambridge hit and run
UPDATE: State Police report they found the guy - a Lynn man who now faces a variety of charges.
State Police say a guy who caused a three-car crash on Land Boulevard this morning pulled off an old trick when he told the other drivers to pull over to the side of the road to exchange papers, which they did, but he instead just drove away.
State Police say the man, no doubt feeling quite clever, smacked into one car stopped at a light around 9:40 a.m., causing it to hit the car in front of it. After making his pull-over-to-the-curb suggestion:
The other two cars then pulled over, but the blue car then drove right past them and continued eastbound onto Land Boulevard toward the Gilmore Bridge.
Both of the other drivers were transported to a local hospital, one with minor injuries, one to be evaluated, State Police say.
The blue car had no front plate and a temporary plate of some kind in the rear. The driver’s side mirror was held in place by duct tape.
The driver is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, approximately in his late 20s, with long dark hair. He was wearing jeans and a long sleeve shirt.
