I am truly upset at the way they r saying she was trespassing just because they don't wanna be at fault.
She was a wonderful person who would always have a smile on her face, and help anyone she could..Now that she needs the help, they are blaming her for her own death..BULL!!!!

First off, this woman had a name, her name is Alicia Gillespie and I am her fiance. Alicia was terrified of trains, and to put down that she was trespassing is so much bull. This accident has affected her family and myself so much. Even though she passed on June 22nd of 2017 it feels like it happened today. I was hospitalised for a month for severe depression. It hurts that MBTA had to put that she was trespassing, just to cover their ass, I want her family and friends to remember her as the Alicia we Ali knew, not the woman who was trespassing and got herself killed by a train. Everyone who knew her would know that she would have never trespassed anywhere. And thank you Shane for the kind words.

Tough situation for the train driver the passengers and the emergency workers who respond to these tragedies.

In cases like these, or with grade crossing collisions, the train operator is the forgotten victim.

Why are they also a victim? Because they have to live with the fact that they killed someone and were helpless to prevent it.

Just yesterday during the evening commute I observed a woman at Back Bay walking along the very edge of the outbound platform (heading toward Ruggles), so close to the train coming from behind that the conductor sounded the horn to warn her to move away. She seemed indifferent and made no effort to step aside. She didn't appear to be drunk/under any influence/disoriented/etc. The train may very well have brushed her clothing, she was that close. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same woman.

I seem to remember a young man ended his days at Ruggles just about a year ago?

Ugh now I feel bad about being so annoyed with the T. I was told at Downtown Crossing that I should walk to Back Bay due to a medical emergency. I felt bad for that person but also annoyed that a medical emergency is so crippling to the system, and that it took me almost 2 hours to get home on the one day I got out of work early. Good lesson to think beyond myself more often. My heart goes out to everyone affected.

I do believe my son deserves more He is one who gets hurt here. Maybe they should be paying him for life I think he deserves it if someone Could Have stoppedItBecause it broke your family because of a sign that says trespassing what if she was blind Far maybe not herself the trainStation should have had Gate in the way so she could not walk down the wrong side I miss her not only for myself but for my son she was a person Kind and caring at times she was a person like everybody else there are things that could have been done that should have been done this is happened too many times to people at the train stop they should stop before They pull up not as the train should pull up in stop and roll forward not fly into the train station. In loving memory of Alicia my Ex fiance
