Globe sees budding future for new online site

After shrinking the print business section to a couple pages in the Metro section (and, what, no more bird report?!?), the Globe today announced it's starting an online mini-site to cover marijuana in New England, staffed by two full-time reporters, a producer and, of course, an editor.

The site is, at least so far, imaginatively called Marijuana.

I love crazy ! I love weed ! I love anything that keeps the populace from questioning the opiate of the masses. But even when I'm doing my chewables, never more than 500mg at a time, I never forget my Rocky Mountain High.

Speaking of High Times, Jim and Margery were talking last week on the radio while I was being driven around and Margery said there is something wrong and creepy with older men marrying younger women!!! HELLO, who do you think your Managing Director is??? I have my ears and nose all over the place. It is time Daddy and I had a talk about Margery. She is such a disgrace to women. With an excellent education, Stanford no less, but yet she plays the bimbo to Jim's know it all. Sellout. No Soup for you!!! Not that anyone is getting a Higher raise at the Globe anytime soon, but She certainly won't if LPH has anything to do with it. She is just jealous because some of us know how to get and keep a man with Benjamins.

Then she and Jim had the gall to ask...how do the people keep putting up with such low quality of elected officials? Maybe because we tell them to, so we can get richer all the time. Don't you know Boston has the highest inequality in America. How do you think we can afford to raise Red Sox tickets 2.5 % Maybe because you and Jim never ask any tough questions of the politicians you have on your show. Margery couldn't get her nose further North if you were making chewable candy canes for Santa Claus.

Then, Felger and Mazz had the gall to ask Daddy about his plans on handing over the Red Sox to Linda ??? Daddy sighed and said that Linda wouldn't be getting the Red Sox with the intonation that Linda couldn't handle it and that they would be selling the Red Sox at some point. He said "I wouldn't give the Red Sox to anyone I love like Linda". What a backhanded compliment....basically saying LPH couldn't handle the Red Sox. As a woman, I'm tired of being patronized like this. Daddy has some 'splainin to do to the Pink Hats.

Oops, sorry, my bong is on overdrive.

Actually, the Globe has added stand-alone Business sections on Monday and Thursday (plus the one on Tuesday they never got rid of) so they have 3 per week. It’s the Arts section that’s been decimated. They really only have 2 each week now, on Friday and Sunday, when they used to have one every day.

Interesting article, good to know.

Also, surprised to read the statistic from Colorado that arrests of underage minorities for possession has increased since legalization? Will have to look into that, since it seems counter-intuitive.
