Man convicted for raping, beating and strangling Roxbury woman in 1987

A Suffolk Superior Court jury today convicted James Paige, 51, on a charge of first-degree murder for the September, 1987 murder of Dora Brimage, 19, whose body was found in a building under renovation on Warren Street.

A hit in a DNA database in 2014 brought Paige to the attention of Boston investigators for the cold case involving the death of a young woman who sang gospel in her church and who had hoped to become a nurse.

Investigators eventually concluded that Brimage and Paige were at a party and that Paige offered her a ride home, only to drive her to the empty building at 665 Warren St., where he raped and killed her. Workers arriving to continue the building's renovation the next morning found her body, authorities say.

Today's verdict means an automatic sentence of life without parole. When arrested for Brimage's murder, Paige was locked up in Manchester, NH on drug charges there.

Was she defending the parking spot she dug out for an hour only to see it taken by an Audi with an attitude?

No?

Then most people here don't give a fuck, except for the webmaster who still persists in ruining it for people who just want more posts about building in this town and need a place to bitch about bike lanes and the diminishing retail presence on Newbury Street.

The story here is that, after 30 some odd years, a family is getting justice. Why UHub visitors do or do not comment on particular posts might be an interesting topic (not sure there's really a large enough sample size to do a full sociological study), but it's really not worth getting full throttle outraged about.

Knowing me as well as you do, am I really showing full throttle outrage?

I for one certainly give a fuck. When you are not from certain neighborhoods, don't give a shit about your fellow human beings and families, it's clear you're some self-entitled asswipe...which is your American right. But since I have a right to, I'll tell you that you can gladly suck my dick, balls and all (well it would be possible if I actually had a dick or balls) but I'm a woman. But fuck you anyhow, as well as the brokedown, preppy, prissy, privileged, and ugly ass horse you rode in on (no offense to horses, they are beautiful animals).

Kudos to the Suffolk County DA and the Boston Police that brought a cold case to a close. Glad the sob got caught, glad that poor girl got justice.

Cold case...never let up.

This man is a predator through and through. Glad he's getting what he deserves, at least what the law allows for. I imagine he's gotten away with a lot more than he's been caught for.

It's interesting that the guy got flagged in 2014 and he's only been convicted in 2018. I wonder if the cold case nature coupled with the fact that the guy was already in prison put this on some slow and steady path to resolution. At any rate, great job by the cops and prosecutors to nail this down at long last.

I wonder if this guy was a suspect in the original case or what happened back in 1987...
