Righting a wrong, lighting a menorah in Cambridge
By adamg on Thu, 12/06/2018 - 10:26pm
Ron Newman attended a ceremony on Cambridge Common tonight where residents and officials honored the people who put a large menorah back up Sunday afternoon after some guy on a bike went to the effort to knock it down.
The suspect, described by Cambridge Police as "a white male dressed all in black and riding a black bicycle," remains at large.

This menorah is normally electric
but just for this ceremony, Chabad temporarily replaced the light-bulb fixtures with oil-burning lamps.
Design. Redesign.
Design could be more curvy! Looking for rounded design public menorahs https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_menorah
Designers/Artists/Sculptors/Architects/Design Schools' students can create curvy public menorahs.
Low center of gravity, good design. A good idea!
Time for curvy design, for rounded design of important Public Menorahs, for example in the spirit of Frank Gehry https://www.google.com/search?q=frank+gehry+sketches&tbm=isch
No longer the rehashed angular sculpted types reangled from angular swastika https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika
Your shtick...
...wore out a long long time ago.
If you're really interested in menorah design
you should go to the Museum of Fine Arts, where quite a few are on display in various galleries. The MFA had a big free Chanukah event Wednesday night, which included tours of their Judaica collection.

Refreshed designs of old Judaica
Thank you!
Old Judaica designs are refreshed for example by young designers from italian arts schools.

It's a standard Chabad
It's a standard Chabad menorah. They believe the angular design is authentic: https://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/3523185/jewish/Why-Insist...
Rehashed reangled from angular swastika.
Thank you!
...insightful information!
Current interpretations look like rehashed reangled from angular swastika https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika
