Snow preparations begin in earnest in Roslindale

With the entire region hunkering down as the season's first nor'easter churns up the coast to slam us upside the head with nature's fury, Molly the Roving UHub photographer spotted an early space saver on Philbrick Street in Roslindale this morning.

This might be less about the snow and more about poor relations between the neighbors and the nearby school. Not defending the person, just noting that I believe this has been a thing on Philbrick even on warm days.

You might be right. I’m in the area regularly, but not daily, and I don’t remember seeing spaces saved, but I might just not have noticed until I had snow on my mind.

This sort of thing reminds me of living in Indiana, the space saver thing was popular there too. Boston and Indiana, brothers in self absorbed unneighborliness.
