The amazing life of Ruby Foo

Richard Auffrey recounts the life of Ruby Foo, who was likely Chinatown's first woman restaurant owner - and who adopted the baby in a famous photo of the aftermath of a Japanese attack on Shanghai in 1937.

I can't find any corroborating historical source that says we know anything about the baby in the Bloody Saturday photograph. Everything I see says no one knows whether the baby even lived, let alone any biographical information about it, its name, or anything about a later adoption. It's possible she adopted a child victim of the attack, but I'm not sure it was this particular baby.
