Down and out, depressed, or just unlucky
RIP drowned person and all sympathies to those he or she knew.
Must have been horrifying for the Kayaker.
Enjoying an early morning workout on the river and discovering this. At least he reported it.
Indelible
I was in the bow of an eight when my crew found a body in the basin by the MoS early one morning about 33 years ago.
The cox summoned the launch, while the crew steadied the boat and I checked her for signs of life. She was young, just a little older than we were, and wearing a hospital gown. Her hair floated around her slack face like seaweed.
I see her in dreams, sometimes floating in space or time. I will never know who she was, but she will never be forgotten - not by me at least.
RIP Victoria
Her name was Victoria and she was an amazing person who will be missed, she was one of my best friends through middle school.
