Cops parked illegally at Symphony

Jasonik gets a couple of shots of civilian cars - with ticket books on the dash - parked illegally at the bus stop at Symphony Hall. Then he books it when he notices some uniforms at the entrance gesturing and pointing at him.

Ah!
I only saw the "uploaded" date, not the "taken on" date. Still interesting, but yes, no longer quite as timely as I first thought.
Call and complain
This has been going on at the Symphony bus stop for years. Typical arrogant cop behavior... they ought to know it's dangerous for the bus to let people off in the middle of the street.
Call the MBTA police at 617-222-1212. Keep calling back until the cars are removed. Also call the Boston Police's district 4 office at 617-343-4457 and give them a piece of your mind.
couple of things
#1, the MBTA police don't give a damn about what Boston cops are doing. Remember, thin blue line? The whole point of those ticketbooks is a "I'm a cop, don't do anything".
#2, Nobody gives a damn about parking in bus spaces anyway. Not BPD, not MBTA police- only Boston Transportation Department, most likely, and their job is to focus on high-revenue areas (meters.) I've never seen BTD do a single thing in Jamaica Plain except drive through it, for example.
#3, District police numbers are very likely recorded, so I'd watch what you say and don't even consider anything threatening.
why
I took the pics and yes it happened months ago. But it does happen often; this time being particularly egregious. Unfortunately, it is pretty pointless to complain about cops doing whatever they want. Still, I wanted some documentation of how much it sucks to wait in the cold and rain for a bus you can't see and can't flag down unless you're in the street and to show who is responsible: These wonderful cops. With the cops' response looking like they wanted to start some crap with me for being pissed and taking pictures.
I didn't take pics of their ticket books in their windshield and we booked because in my experience, the conversation with the cops would have eventually have them saying "9/11". It never fails.

Peer pressure and corruption at BPD
The BPD officer was very grateful. An SUV had parked downtown, blocking an active loading zone, having moved cones away and back to get there. Someone noticed a PAL sticker. After spending half an hour calling it in and working on it, he was delighted and thankful. Explaining he would never have heard the end of it if he had ticketed a detective's wife.
