Interfaith vigil for Sri Lanka set for the Common

The Sri Lanka Association of New England and the Massachusetts Council of Churches will hold a vigil at the Parkman Bandstand starting at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

We envision this as a time for all Sri Lankans and all Christians to gather and mourn. We covet the solidarity of interfaith neighbors to attend and stand with us.

We invite everyone to wear white to attend, in keeping with Sri Lankan customs.

Following the vigil, we will gather at St. Paul’s Cathedral in the sanctuary for Ceylon tea and conversation.
