But I'm in awe of the talent it takes to do that with spray paint, and on such a scale. Amazing.

Do I have to like murals to be fun in your eyes?
Let's just say if I owned or lived in that building
I wouldn't want a mural on the side of it.
And your snarky comment was really unnecessary.

Public artwork is vitally important and has been an integral piece of civilized society for millennia.

It integrates cultures and establishes neighborhood pride, instilling a sense of community in turn improving quality of life.

So yeah, not only are you no fun but also apparently an antisocial fuddy-duddy.

A mural instills a sense of community and improves the quality of life according to you. it's funny you hardly ever see them in Newton or Wellesley, only in the inner city. I don't like lots of things others like and I'm sure things I like others don't and I'm sure they don't care, why you do is beyond me. The guy is talented and it's an amazing painting which I wouldn't want on my home...so what?

Don’t worry, no one wants to paint a mural on the side of whatever rock you crawl under every evening.

Someone needs a hug.
You're charming.

Yep.

Doesn't mean I have to enjoy ANY particular artwork, despite it having other value(s).

Doesn't the textural appeal of old brick have aesthetic value too?

It's magnificent! I drive by it almost daily and it makes me smile whatever the mood.

And keep Lower Roxbury in Roxbury, don't be letting those South End realtors rename it!
