When shower doors attack

Team 5 Investigates has already reported on incidents involving tempered glass where glass cookware and patio tables exploded for no obvious reason. In response, last winter, doctors at Children's Hospital issued a report and warning against using glass tables in homes where toddlers reside.

I suspect that this is the report they're talking about:

The conclusion in the abstract advised against the use of non-tempered glass in homes with children. Perhaps we are not talking about the same report, or perhaps the full report expresses warnings not given in the abstract.

Conclusions: Glass table injuries are associated with significant morbidity. More than half of the injuries may have been prevented or mitigated with the use of tempered glass. Pediatricians are advised to discourage families from the purchase of nontempered glass tables, while advocating for legislation mandating the use of tempered glass.
