If you venture out a little farther, you could try Brattle Book Shop near Downtown Crossing, or the Boston Book Annex at the St. Mary's Stop on the C line.
Most places are being very selective these days. If you're looking to sell textbooks, try selling them through Amazon, half.com, or a website called facultybooks.com.
