Fight at Harvard Square T stop ends with man stabbed repeatedly, police say; one arrested, at least one sought

Transit Police report arresting a Lynn man on charges he tried to carve somebody up with a knife at the Harvard Square T stop around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police say Chinier Bennett, 23, was one of several men who turned a verbal confrontation into a physical one, but the only one who took out a knife, which he used to stab the victim several times. The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive, police say.

Police say detectives found Bennett the next day, outside the Downtown Crossing T stop and arrested him on several charges, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon with intent to murder.

Police added they are looking for another man they say was involved in the attack:

Wanted man

If he looks familiar, contact detectives at 617-222-1050 or send an anonymous text tip to 873873.

Innocent, etc.

Starting tonight the Transit Police will be issuing 300 dollars no mask fines to anyone who is on MBTA property riding without a a mask according to the Governor.

This appears to be the same Chinier Bennett who was indicted on child sex trafficking charges for hosting the "Boom Boom Room" a few years back.

Comparing photos from the time with this one, he's looking a little rough.
