Hyde Park could get a takeout smoothie place

Karla Yearwood is hoping to open her Fair Nutrition smoothie bar at 57 Fairmount Ave., across the street from the fire station, to serve up protein shakes and "energizing" teas.

Yearwood, an Herbalife consultant, would be prepared for times like these - her proposed shop would have no seating, she told the Boston Licensing Board at a hearing on Wednesday.

The mayor's office supported the proposal. Nobody spoke against.
