Associated Press reports the Patriots coach says, no, he won't accept an award due to events of the past week.

I’m glad that he didn’t accept that Medal of Freedom award. However, why is Belichek even getting this award in the first place? He’s a just football coach.

Writing, "a decision was made" is not the same as "I made the decision".

Almost none of that statement sounded like Belichick.

Methinks that the Patriots finance guys looked at the lost revenue from this season and from Kraft's Florida crap and decided that a grip and grin w/ another serial sexual assaulter might be too much liability for the organization.
