Boston Police report arresting Officer Alexis Herrera-Brea, on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and domestic assault and battery following an incident involving "a non-intimate family member."
Herrera-Brea, an officer since 2017, was scheduled for arraignment in Dorchester Municipal Court.
Police did not release any other details, including the type of weapon allegedly used, when the incident occurred, or if it is a different incident than the April 19, 2020 one involving assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a family member that is listed in the Suffolk County District Attorney's list of law-enforcement officers accused of misconduct.
Herrera-Brea was placed on administrative leave.
More on Herrera-Brea from the Woke Windows Project.
