Fire spreads from house to house near Davis Square in Somerville

Shortly after noon on Morrison Avenue. The fire spread to at least three other houses and went to four alarms.

Michael Dunphy reports the fire started in a house under construction at 195 Morrison Ave.

Right where this person who took the photo, behind them is my work. I noticed this building being worked on last week. It was just the shell of a building as of Thursday.

Makes me wonder if it was a gas leak or a spark from electrical work.

The good news it should be unoccupied. There's no way someone was living in the shell I saw on Thursday.

I could see the smoke plume from my house. My kids were going to head to Davis, but changed plans when they checked out where that plume was coming from.

I'm hoping that the collateral damage was minimal.
